In part 2 of our Jon Lajoie catch up series he tells the media and Jackson lovers how he thinks about their sycophantic fawning over the star now that he’s dead.

Brilliant. :)

Sarah Palin and her husband.

Sarah Palin and her husband.

Sarah Palin’s been dominating news on several news outlets these past weeks with her resignation and ceaseless wharrgarbl speeches/followers/celebrity endorsements.

After the Michael Jackson media circle jerk, which caused the Iran issue to be pushed right back to the proverbial page 6 of the news (next to mother eats baby and naked man drives into police station), I was looking forward to a week of normal news focusing on the Honduras issue, the economy, Iran and Afghanistan.

Unfortunately main stream media thought differently. The worst offender here is, as usual Faux news.. the terrible ultra conservative news station. But other media outlets like CNN, Huffington Post and reputable news papers are spending countless pages and man-hours documenting the train wreck that is the Sarah Palin, Michael Jackson, and other ‘celebrities’.

All I can say to this is please drop it, MSM. While Palin is a politician, she resembles George Galloway rather than Newt Gingrich with her inane pronouncements. Since you don’t deem him worthy of comment, why her?

As for Michael Jackson, who cares? He’s dead. Surely 1 cycle of 24 hour coverage should’ve been enough to cover both his death and his funeral. We really don’t want to hear that his autopsy still hasn’t been completed 20 times a day.

Thankfully the BBC is taking matters a bit (just a bit) more seriously and not staying with the same story.

In short: I’d rather surf to lemonparty than read any more about this semi celeb or Michael Jackson.
