Sarah Palin’s book is doing well, but when you’re dealing with a woman who was a candidate for Vice President of the United States and thinks that a public option in healthcare amounts to death panels at the same time you can expect people to actually critically comment on the book and it’s contents.
First of all, my appologies for being away for such a long time or at least not posting the amount of videos and rants I usually do. I’ve been very busy with all kinds of personal things and in the mean while coding up the sitewatch and the new front page for this website.
Just to update you on a few of the upcoming changes:
The project i’ve named Sitewatch will be an rss news agregator which measures the number and types of words per site and creates some poetry from the resulting adjectives and nouns. Took me forever to figure out what was what, really. I’ll probably rename the project when I go live with the beta. At the moment I’ve got Fox News, The Daily Mail, CNN, BBC and FARK RSS feeds added to the list of sites it scans. I just have to figure out how to output the data.
The new front page for the blog and website will feature a chat widget, the newest quote from #english, the newest videos posted and top blogs as well as twitter feeds etc.
I’ve also decided to create a language section outlining the basics of the English and giving a few examples. Users can sign into the website and ask questions. I’m still fleshing out the details, but I’ve got some good ideas on the whole structure.
Also, we do have some ads on the website, and just as a reminder: if you’re logged in you will see no adverts. So make sure once you’ve registered that you tick the ‘remember me’ button when you’ve logged in so you can enjoy the content without banner ads from the start.
Anyway, here’s a video to make up for my absence over the last few days
