Like lots of people in this nation I have mingled with believers of Islam since the day I was born and never have I felt put down by any it's followers. Most, if not all of my Islamic friends and family keep their faith to themselves - they are humans first, British second and Islamic third... and that's they way we and they like it. So it comes at no surprise that fundamental Islamics are giving all these good people a very bad name - to the point where not even they can say a bad word against aspects of Islam without being accused of being Islamophobes. If you laugh at Morris dancers you can get away with it, no matter how bad you make those guys feel it's alright! But if you laugh at a religion it's not OK - why is this? Lastly, female genital mutilation is WRONG no matter the reason.... a doctor who takes an oath to help the sick is no longer an ethical doctor if s/he performs surgeries of this type REGARDLESS of his/her faith.
