As many of you know I like to keep abreast of the news on various networks and often come across interesting stories and headlines which I like to highlight.
I’ve decided to go all out and pick the headlines I thought were great, funny, outrageous and downright evil.
These utterly realistic images are printed on plastic sheets which are stuck on garage doors – the latest craze for home owners who want to not so much keep up with, as totally freak out, the Joneses
Here’s an image of a print you can get made for on your garage door.
Naturally I’ve thought of some for myself…
The Space/Time hole door
The Republican Door
The Boobies Door.
I’d personally go for the boobies door. Just to freak out the neighbours.
The BBC did an interesting report on how much kids know about money. They went to Cedarwood Primary School at Kesgrave, near Ipswich to find out what a group of 9 year old children knew about finance.
Some of the answers to the questions reporters asked were classic examples of how children think. Here’s a sampling:
Q: Do you know an average house costs about £150,000?
A: Now I know why my mum keeps on saying that we are poor!
Q: If you had £1m, what would you do with it?
A: I would drive to London, earn another £1m, then I would pay the Queen for her house. She can live in my old house.
Q: If you had children but not enough money to feed them, what would you do?
A: I’d make sure I looked good so I could get a very rich husband who could pay for things.
