Sweet sweet irony

There’s sweet irony in this world.

An atheist blogger was banned from attending the screening of a creationist movie called Expelled last week, but his special guest was allowed in because he wasn’t recognised by the staff there.

This wouldn’t be news.. except for the fact that it was this man…

Richard Dawkins

All hail Richard Dawkins. Dawkins is one of the most famous atheists and god-botherers of our time.

Wikipedia notes:

In addition to his biological work, Dawkins is well-known for his views on organised religion. He is an outspoken antireligionist and atheist; a secular humanist, sceptic, scientific rationalist, and a supporter of the Brights movement. He is a prominent critic of creationism and intelligent design. In his 2006 book The God Delusion, Dawkins contends that a supernatural creator almost certainly does not exist and that religious faith qualifies as a delusion, which he defines as a persistent false belief held in the face of strong contradictory evidence. As of November 2007, the English version book had sold more than 1.5 million copies and had been translated into 31 languages, making it his most popular book to date.

Not too smart, are they, creationists. You can read the entire article here.

Of course, they’re so sure of their theory that they are more than confident to let it stand on it’s own merits…

Bah. Godfags. They’re all the same.

BTW. Henning Pauly - a great progressive metal composer/producer is currently making Frameshift 3 album based on ‘The God Delusion’ book bearing the same title. It’s a long expected one for me :] (past two Frameshifts - ‘Unweaving tThe Rainbow’ and ‘An Absence of Empathy’ were simply masterpieces)
