Hi again everybody!!1!!1one!!
We’re back from the dead after a stressful evening of working on the gallery, the video plugin, the overall interface and the ‘old content’.
As you can see it was a harrowing experience indeed.
These are the changes so far:
- The forum is gone. Dead. Maybe it’ll be back. Who knows.
- The image database has been replaced by the ‘User Galleries‘. This uses the NextGen plugin, written by Alex Rabe. I plan to build on this a bit later. For those that are worried about their precious comments or ratings: don’t. I still have all the data of the old site. Don’t be such a bitch. Also, expect teething problems.
- The interface has been adjusted to these changes. The double menu bar has been removed and has become one single transparent line.
- There is a new video plugin for you to use with 4 new sites whose embedding code is now integrated into the plugin. See the Featured Streams in the sidebar for a list of all of them.
- The pages having to do with IRC have been renamed.
- The Read Along page has been remodelled into the ‘IRC-FAQ‘ pending our bot Dogberts ‘holiday’.
In short, lots of changes in a short while. I’ll keep you posted on further changes happening to the site and yes I am writing a how-to for contributors, authors and editors.
In the meanwhile, enjoy this little gem from Funnyordie.com…

Due to the move to the UK and with approval from the owners I am consolidating access to the image gallery and removing the forum.

Until I return the following changes have been made (and might be kept, depending on if they’re accepted well).
- Contributors can upload images to the galleries and create galleries.
- There is no more forum. Forum Images can be found in the Old Images gallery.
- Moderators (Authors and Editors in the weblog) can manage galleries.
- The Forum has been removed. All posts have been kept on backup. Requests for reposts on the weblog will be considered on a case by case basis.
- Individual users can not upload images.
Expect downtime pending the changeover on the 28th-29th of January.
Kind regards,
Bouz.

The campaign of the Anonymi continues unabated. Here’s a very successful ‘raid’ by a bunch of guys on a Scientology church in Orlando, Florida. They get kicked out when trying to get in, but their ‘Honk if you HATE Scientology sign’ has great success. The Scientologists take pictures and call the cops. All to no avail. Finally the Church turns on the sprinklers (which apparently is illegal in Orlando).
Here’s an excerpt of the text accompanying the video:
Two cars crash on opposite side of the road due to Thetans. No damage - No Injuries. They checked their bumpers - and drove off.
The guy that kicked us out shows up (must have left through a back door) to investigate our flyer’s. Comes back a few minutes later with a camera.
Eventually, a police officer showed up. She spoke with the Scientologists for what seemed like a long time. She then spoke with us, and told us we were fine, just don’t impede sidewalk traffic.
Officer says the reason she was called: “They feel threatened by having us in front of their building.” Win.
The words classic, awesome and respect come to mind.

The epic battle of the Anonymous against the Church of Scientology continues.
Here’s a video of a raid by two ‘Anonymi’ visiting and picketing a Scientology church and handing out flyers. They get into a discussion about Scientology’s founder with a quickly drummed up Scientologist apologist who follows them on the street after being ’spotted’.
Good job, guys
If you’re interested in more information about Scientology or the Anonymous campaigns, check here or here.
I’ve also included the BBC Panorama report titled ‘Scientology and Me’, by John Sweeney below. Usually BBC reporters are very calm, but this one looses his cool after being hounded by the Scientologists across the US.
Enjoy. Â

An old sketch from The Kids in the Hall.
Anyone who has seen bad public television can relate to this one.

Benny Hill still competes with much of today’s comedy crowd in my opinion. Here’s his master sketch ‘Wishing Well’.

Here’s a declaration of war for you for a change.
The supposed hackers known as the ‘Anonymous’ (what else) have declared war on The Church of Scientology. On the 21st of January they posted their declaration on the video sharing site Youtube.
Wikinews states:
Several websites relating to the Church of Scientology have been slowed down, brought to a complete halt or seemingly removed from the Internet completely in an attack which seems to be continuous. The scientology.org site was back online briefly on Monday, and is currently loading slowly.
It’s been quite a hit, as you can probably imagine. Of course we have the video for you.
